Irrawaddy Green Towers (IGT) is enabling communications revolution into a significant new phase of Myanmar Telecom market. We are currently rolling out telecom towers for all the major operators including Telenor, Ooredoo and MPT. IGT currently has more than 275 employees, including a mix of Myanmar citizens and expatriates. Our promotors and board members are citizens of Canada, India, and the United States.

Our team has rolled out more than 100,000 towers worldwide in countries including Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Canada, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Azerbaijan, UK, the USA, and Mexico. We have also managed tens of thousands of towers and power systems in multiple countries.

IGT is focused on offering shared passive infrastructure and associated power solutions. Our end-to-end solutions ensure that we have an attractive offering for multiple operators. Unlike certain existing tower companies in the Myanmar market, IGT offer a complete power solution, which ensures that our telecom sites are more relevant and attractive for multiple operators/co-location.

Board Of Directors

Azmi Mikati serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of M1 Limited.

Prior to his leadership role in M1, he served as the CEO of Investcom LLC (formerly Investcom Holding SA), responsible for the global strategy of the holding and its implementation. He has been a Director of Investcom Holding SA since 1999.

Prior to Investcom, he was Non-executive director of MTN Group Ltd. since July 18, 2006. Previously, Azmi was a Director of T-One Corporation (International Carrier) and a board member of FTML (France Telecom subsidiary and the previous operator of one of two mobile networks in Lebanon).

Azmi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Columbia University, USA.

Georges Makhoul is the CEO of Constellation Holdings, a Dubai-based private investment firm.

Until his retirement from Morgan Stanley in 2010, Georges was the President of the firm in the broader Middle East and North Africa. At Morgan Stanley, Georges headed Investment Banking for the European Consumer and Retail Industry for Morgan Stanley, based out of London till 2005. He also spent seven years in Tokyo leading the bank’s Telecommunications and Media Investment Banking group in Japan.

Prior to that, Georges was the Managing Partner of the Info-Communications and Entertainment consulting practice of PWC Japan. Before PWC, he led a National Science Foundation Research Centre at Columbia University in New York.

George started his career with Strategic Operations and Management at Bellcore.

Ferrie serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Alcazar Energy. Prior to joining Alcazar Energy, he held various finance and operations positions within Luxury and FMCG companies (LVMH, L’Oreal), the last being the CFO of a business unit of Parfums Christian Dior with retail sales just short of € 1 billion and € 200 million operating profit. His field of expertise is structuring and restructuring of operational entities and strengthening of back office functions.

Apart from finance and operations, Ferrie has held positions in business development at a multinational head office level and has been in charge of strategic planning, pricing strategies, retail network development and organizational turnarounds in a variety of geographies. Ferrie started his career in Holland as an analyst in a private equity boutique firm providing management support to different investment companies.

Ferrie holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management, has studied at HEC France and SSE in Stockholm and holds specializations in Strategy and Finance.

Jamal Ramadan is the executive director at M1 Group Serves as regional vice-president of Middle East & North Africa region at MTN Group Ltd.

Jamal was previously the Executive director of IT at Investcom Holding Sa. Regional vice president MENA region at MTN Group Ltd. He served as vice president of operation for the WECA and MENA for MTN Group Ltd since 2006.

During his tenure in Investcom Holding he held the position of Operations Director where his responsibilities included creating shareholder alliances, establishing companies and constituting teams for the start up of variety of holding projects, selecting suppliers, budgeting, overseeing & controlling the implementation. He has responsibility for the technical, IT, sales, customer care and procurement. He served as the IT director at FTML and also the director of security and banking business unit in France.

Jamal holds a doctorate degree in Information Technology from Pierre et Marie Curie University, Paris.

Management Team

David Venn is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Irrawaddy Green Towers (IGT).

David brings with him over 30 years of experience in the global telecoms industry, and worked in many different countries including; Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, the United States, Dubai, Pakistan, Zambia, Ghana and Nigeria.

Elie Haddad is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Irrawaddy Green Towers (IGT).

Elie has over 15 years of experience in the finance sector at various functional positions. Prior to joining IGT, Elie was the Corporate Accounting Manager at M1 leading a team of 20 to facilitate operations across various business segments and countries. At M1, Elie was in charge of analyzing and reviewing major contracts to ensure accurate recording of significant business transactions and their alignment versus contractual commitments and tax regulations. Elie has led Hyperion implementation within a record time of less than a year through close coordination and follow up with UK and Amsterdam (Paragon-Oracle) based consulting firms covering various LOB’s.

Prior to M1 group, Elie served as the Operation Finance & Supply Chain Manager of Diageo for the Levant & North Africa region.

Elie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Computers Science from the Saint Joseph University of Lebanon.

Mr. Bassel Jamaleddine is the Chief Operation Officer of Irrawaddy Green Towers(IGT).

Bassel has a B.S. Computer Science from Beirut University College.

He has more than 30-year experience in as IT with extensive project management out of which 18 such as director/CIO and more than 10 years as CEO. Extensive knowledge of Telecom environment such as Team Leader, Building people skills, Team Spirit and execution. He was previously associated with France Telecom Lebanon and MTN Group Limited as CEO in MTN Cyprus than Ethiopia.
